Bendy and the Ink Machine: Chapter 3

Striker is one of the Butcher Gang enemies and a very twisted clone of Edgar. He is encountered from the third to the fifth chapter of Bendy and the Ink Machine and later in Bendy and the Dark Revival.

Overview[]

Physical Appearance[]

Striker's disfigured head has shoelace-like straps sewn onto his forehead and sporting an extra mouth with chattering, maniacal teeth on the top of his head, while his original lipped mouth was sewn together with stitches. His right eye was replaced with a movable human-like eyeball, placed in the eye-socket with three straps, and a left cartoon eye remain unaffected. His body has three thin arms ending with hands that wear white gloves in which the original Edgar did not have, but one of his left arms is missing. He has an extender bar for his left arm and ends with a gloved cartoon hand.

In Bendy and the Ink Machine, Striker's head has few thread-like stitches for the forehead part, small squarish cheeks covered in white boil-like textures, and his lipped mouth has a darker color. There is a hose connecting Striker's extender bar arm to what seems to resemble some kind of metal tubes that are shaped like opened-wide "lips". His body has a long pear-shaped stomach, shorter legs, and wears two-darted white gloves. Because of both ankle disorder, his right foot moves awkwardly when walking in a non-alarm state, and drags his left foot when running. Regardless though, he is a very fast runner.

In Dark Revival, Striker's appearance has changed quite drastically. His head is now far more triangular in shape and he has visible wrinkles on his face. The stitches on his head are now significantly adjusted with more of them covering the mouth on his head, with ones on his lips being less tight. On the topic of mouths, Striker is now able to open his lips and his primary mouth, while his secondary mouth's teeth appear to be far more realistic and crooked. His eyes look far more realistic too, with visible bags, and a visible reflection within them. His body is now smaller and far more arachnid-like in shape while his limbs are segmented like that of an actual spider. Instead of having an extender bar and a hose for his spring-loaded arm, he now has a hinge and a port that make his single left arm far smaller when fully retracted. The metal tubes that were once on his abdomen, have now been replaced with a belt that wraps around him sideways.

Behavior[]

Like his colleagues, Piper and Fisher, Striker appears randomly wandering around certain areas of the workshop (in his case, Level P). If he spots Henry, Striker will rush to him quickly and if possible will hit him with a long-range punching attack of his extendable left arm. Striker is the fastest out of all other Butcher Gang enemies.

In Bendy and the Dark Revival, he now has the ability to climb up walls and ceilings and can jump down from the vents to ambush his prey.

Strategy[]

In Bendy and the Ink Machine: Chapter 3, if in battle, the player should try to keep their distance, as Striker has a very high range, but since his attacks are weak, Henry can take a few hits making fighting him easy. If Henry is low on health, he should try to reach the elevator or a Little Miracle Station, as running away from Striker can result in receiving more damage because of his high speed and range, and would not even stop following until Henry reached the hiding spots. If multiple Butcher Gang members are in the area, it's best to get rid of Striker first since he's the only member that can outrun Henry, not allowing him to regenerate health. Like the two other Butcher Gang enemies, Striker will die instantly when approaching too close to The Ink Demon's ink blots.

In-Game Appearances[]

Boris and the Dark Survival[]

Striker was first found locked in the wooden box with two other members. The box requires 5 Keys before releasing the Butcher Gang enemies. Once released, Striker will be seen wandering around the levels and will chase Buddy Boris when seen in front of his sight.

He was added in The Unleashed update.

Bendy and the Ink Machine[]

Chapter 3: Rise and Fall[]

A Striker clone dead, and floating in the ink pool of Alice's morgue.

Early on in the chapter, Henry can see a few clones of Striker laying dead in the giant pool of ink from the flooded morgue, where the dead Boris and Piper clones and few hanging clones of Fisher are found.

Striker holds Valve Core~2

Striker first dwells in the areas of Level P along with its few other locations including both the small workshop area and the operation room while Henry is collecting valve cores for Twisted Alice. In this task, Striker's extendable left arm is attached with a valve core on it. Henry will be able to obtain the valve core after killing Striker. Striker will later respawn during Henry's other progressive tasks.

In the task of defending Twisted Alice's room, Striker, along with the other two Butcher Gang enemies, invades Level 9 and Henry will need to wipe out all of them before taking on the next and final task.

Striker's Heart

Striker's corpse in the Inky Abyss, in Chapter 3: Rise and Fall.

On both locations of Level 14, multiple corpses of Striker, Fisher, and Piper are seen scattered around the ink flood. Striker's corpse with the very first ink heart in his hand is located next to the deck from the elevator's area spot, and some other corpses can be randomly located with one ink heart.

At the toy machine room's secret area of the toy machine room, after killing the pack of Searcher Minibosses from pulling the first lever, activating the second lever will spawn multiple Butcher Gang enemies at the Heavenly Toys room that include several clones of Striker.

Chapter 4: Colossal Wonders[]

AllHailTheFire

Striker and his fellow Butcher gangsters huddling around a dumpster fire.

Striker, along with other Butcher Gang enemies, returns in the fourth chapter. They are only encountered in the Research and Design department of Bendy Land, where they gather around a fire in a barrel. Henry must use empty Bacon Soup cans to create a distraction and draw them away from the entrances to nearby rooms before he can enter to pull the lever to power up the Haunted House. If Striker sees Henry, the best way is always to run away especially by sprinting and jumping, repeating it strategically until the objective is complete.

A deceased Striker can be found in the Attraction Storage department, laying beside some shelves containing gondolas for the Haunted House among other things.

Chapter 5: The Last Reel[]

Striker returns in the final chapter, guarding the administration hallways along with Piper and Fisher, in an attempt to prevent Henry from fulfilling the task of collecting thick ink to make pipes to drain the Film Vault passage way.

Bendy and the Dark Revival[]

Bendy and the Dark Revival Striker

Striker, along with the rest of the Butcher Gang, features a minor role in Bendy and the Dark Revival. He first appears when Audrey attempts to open a barred door that is in front of a Edgar cutout, dropping down and trying to grab Audrey before scurrying away. Striker will pop out of holes in the celling to attack Audrey but If she runs away or rather give him enough hits, Striker will crawl back into his hole and wait for the right time to try again.

He is last seen in the final part of the game, in which he teams up with a Lost One against Allison Angel on a balcony.

Trivia[]

  • StrikerConceptArt

    Concept artwork of Striker.

Striker in his original concept art for Bendy and the Ink Machine has few slightly different traits that were changed or absent in-game: sewn lips had a lighter color, lacking an extra right arm, few armor-like materials on his right arm and a connected hose, a few ink drips under the head, and a gun scope attaching to his extender bar arm.
  • In Bendy and the Ink Machine, Striker has his own death animation found in the game files, along with the other two Butcher Gang enemies. However, this animation went unused, resulting in Striker to turn ragdoll instead upon being killed.
  • In Bendy and the Ink Machine, Striker, along with Piper, can be seen briefly in Chapter 3's reveal trailer where they are seen scampering from one of the hallways in the trailer room. He is also later seen running across the bridge.
